Our Nursery provision

The nursery offers lots of indoor and outdoor space for the children’s activities, including dedicated wet/messy play and eating areas, and a large, enclosed garden with a purpose-built soft play surface and challenging play equipment.

Children can start at nursery at the first half-term after they turn 3. All new starters are offered a settling in session with their parents/carer a couple of weeks before they actual start.

The nursery is situated in the same building as our reception class and many of our nursery children will move up into our reception. We work hard to ensure a smooth transition from nursery to school, and by the time the children start school, they are very familiar with the building, other children and staff.

Our morning nursery sessions run from 8:30 to 11:30 and our afternoon nursery sessions run from 12:30 to 3:30. We also run a lunch club from 11:30 to 12:30 where children bring in a packed lunch from home to eat with their friends at nursery. It is  not necessary to book all morning sessions or all afternoon sessions - you can book any combination of sessions that suit you and your child.

The first five nursery sessions a week are free, as all children over 3 are entitled to 15 hours free childcare a week. Additional nursery sessions can be booked at a cost of £12 per session, and lunch club sessions can be booked at a cost of £4 per session. Sessions must be confirmed and paid for before the start of each half-term. However, subject to availability, there is the possibility of booking additional ad-hoc sessions. We do accept employer childcare vouchers - please contact the school office for more details.

Some parents/carers will also be eligible to 30 hours free childcare through the governments free childcare system. S

If you would like to know more, please contact the school office and we will be happy to give you more information and show you round our nursery.
