Anti-Bullying Ambassadors

Diana Award logo alongside the text: Proud to be an anit-bullying ambassador school

We are proud to be a Diana Award Anti-Bullying Ambassador school. Each of our KS2 classes has two anti-bullying ambassadors, chosen by their peers, who have received training from the Diana Award Programme and meet regularly to drive student-led projects.

We want to engage children and parents to change the behaviours, attitudes and culture of bullying by building skills and confidence to address different situations both on and offline.

We define bullying behaviour as: repeated, negative and intentional.

Bullying behaviour makes others feel upset, uncomfortable and unsafe.

The bully is called the perpetrator and the victim is the target.

It is bullying behaviour because it is a choice, can be challenged and it can change.

Bullying behaviours:

Verbal: Unkind words directed at someone in person

Indirect: Unkind actions that happen behind someone's back/not to their face

Physical: Unkind actions that enter someone's personal space without their permission

As Bullying Ambassadors we will always:

Say thank you for speaking out

Ask what has been going on

Do support them with their next steps

As bullying ambassadors we shall stick to the Diana Award's 3 golden rules:

Work as a team

Always stay cool, calm and collected

Not keep secrets and tell trusted adults
